Zunheboto, September 10 (MExN): The Sümi Hoho has expressed deep concern and solidarity with the teachers appointed under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) 2016 batch who have launched an agitation over prolonged neglect and denial of their rightful entitlements.
In a statement issued by its media cell, the Hoho said it was "disheartening" to note that teachers, who are entrusted with shaping the future of society, have been subjected to prolonged uncertainty, financial hardship, and official indifference.
This continued neglect not only undermines their dignity and morale but also directly affects the quality of education imparted to students, it noted.
The Sümi Hoho believes that "justice delayed is justice denied" and stated that the grievances of the RMSA 2016 teachers are "genuine and long overdue for redressal."
Asserting that “justice delayed is justice denied" and stating that grievances of the RMSA 2016 teachers are "genuine and long overdue for redressal,” the Sümi Hoho urged the the Government of Nagaland to take immediate and concrete steps to resolve the matter in a just, transparent, and time-bound manner.
The Hoho also appreciated the agitating teachers for their patience and restraint, expressing hope that their concerns would be resolved amicably and without further delay to ensure the academic welfare of students is not compromised.
"The Sümi Hoho stands with the aggrieved teachers in their rightful demands and strongly reminds the Government that the future of our youth cannot be secured by neglecting those who nurture and educate them," the statement added.
Meanwhile, the indefinite sit-in protest of the Nagaland RMSA 2016 Teachers Association outside Directorate of School Education, Kohima entered its third day on Wednesday without any concerte solution in sight.
