Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): The Sümi Hoho on June 4 said that while the COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges both for people and society, “it has also given our people a chance to unite and fight this battle together as one.”
Maintaining that the Sümi Hoho endorses the sentiments of Eastern Naga People's Organization (ENPO) regarding the mismanagement of transfer of returnees to Tuensang district, it also appealed to the ENPO to stand together in solidarity with the Government of Nagaland in the fight against COVID-19.
It further asserted the need to cut across tribal lines and unite as one, “because the novel Coronavirus knows no boundaries, class, creed or religion. It is only by proper coordination, support and collaboration between the CSOs, Government and our people, that our state stands a chance of nullifying the impact of the virus in our society in the long run,” the Sümi Hoho added.
