St John College Dimapur organizes parents-teachers meeting

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 23 (MExN): St John College, Dimapur (SJCD) organized a parents-teachers meeting recently, with the objective of reviewing and discussing issues related to student’s academic performances and development.


Chairing the meeting, Ajem from Department of Chemistry stressed on the necessity of such interactions to update the parents about the various activities of the institution and assess the overall growth and skill development among the students, a press note from the college informed. 


Setuomenuo Ao, Assistant Director of SJCD focused on policies implementation and said that it was not only academic but holistic development of the students through a syllabus that tries to develop the skills of the students.
SJCD Principal, Prof Dr ST Janetius stressed on the role of parents in motivating the students to achieve personal skills through various skill development courses offered in the institute.


Dr Anungla from Department of Botany also highlighted the recent achievements of the students in academics as well as co-curricular events. 


President of the parents association, Pito Aye gave a brief introduction to the organization and suggested some few ways in which the overall growth can be achieved.


A number of parents and guardians took the opportunity to enquire about a few college policies, which the management team provided answers and explanation for the rules implemented.


In his concluding remarks, Peter Banks, administrator of the college briefed on the importance of students having clear goals and aims in order to cultivate their own internal motivation.
