Palm Sunday celebration was organised by St Peter’s Parish Kiphire across various locations under the district on March 24.
Kiphire, March 24 (MExN): The St Peter’s Parish Kiphire, one of the biggest parishes in the Diocese of Kohima celebrated Palm Sunday with the Blessing of Palms, Procession and Reading of the Passion.
The celebrations were also held in Horung, Singrep, Ngoromi, Longmatra, Phelungre, Anatongre, Kiusam and Kiphire.
As per a press release, the Parish Priest Rev Fr Philip Magh had made an elaborate preparation for the communities to celebrate the Holy Week with solemnity as a time of devotion to the Passion of Jesus Christ.
While celebrating the event at Horung, he told believer that the Holy week beginning with Palm Sunday is called the Great Week because great deeds were done by God during this week, it added.
