General Secretary of the NSCN (IM) Thuingaleng Muivah was airlifted and rushed to Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research in Dimapur on Friday. While various media reports stated that the 88-year-old leader was in critical condition, hospital sources said his condition is stable and is under observation. Muivah was brought to CIHSR and admitted late Friday afternoon after complaining of pain in abdomen, they said. Other sources said that he had a stomach ailment and as a result he was airlifted from Hebron.
