‘The Prehistoric Adventure’ by Mishanli Easternya Yanthan was launched by Sashila Ozukum, Principal, Hope Academy on March 19.
Dimapur, March 21 (MExN): ‘The Prehistoric Adventure’, second book by Mishanli Easteryna Yanthan was launched by Sashila Ozukum, Principal, Hope Academy, Dimapur on March 19.
In her speech, Sashila said while most adults have difficulty in pursuing their dreams and aspirations, Mishanli who is soon to be a 5th Grader is already done with her second book. While congratulating her young student, Sashila wished Mishanli a remarkable journey ahead. Sashila acknowledged the parents of the author, Yanchen and Dr Wojanbeni S Yanthan for their amazing parenting and for reminding the parents how important it is to be involved in our children lives.
In her book review, Dr Priya Tamma, Azim Premji University, asks the readers “What happens when curious children are given a chance to peek into the world of dinosaurs?” Dr Tamma writes, “Mishanli Yanthan’s book The Prehistoric Adventure takes us into a world where three children find themselves in the midst of dinosaurs.”
Dr Tamma mentions that although the young writer is fascinated with dinosaurs, she exhibits a profound understanding of all things that made up the world of dinosaurs. Dr Tamma adds, “This book wouldn’t be complete without the evocative and lovely illustrations by Puloto Chishi. The extraordinary illustrations complement the story so well and bring to life a landscape and animals that otherwise only lies in our imagination”.
The Foreword of The Prehistoric Adventure is written by Scott Weidensaul, a migration researcher, a writer and a Fellow of the American Ornithological Society. His book Living on the Wind: Across the Hemisphere with Migratory Birds, was a finalist for the 2000 Pulitzer Prize, stated a press release.
The Prehistoric Adventure is published by Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur.
