Phek, March 19 (MExN): The resting shed and traveler’s amenity at Zakaco in Chozuba village under Phek district was formally inaugurated by Chitsorü Vasa, BDO on March 18. The project was sponsored by 15th Finance Commission.
In his address, Chitsorü Vasa emphasized the importance of an open defecation-free village, traveler's needs, and sanitary use. The resting shed was located at the historic place- Japan Riba (battlefield of Japanese in World War II) which is befitting for archaeological studies, Vasa added. He urged the people to invest in livestock for a sustainable economy and preserving water sources.
The programme was presided by Künüsayi Lürüo Rhakho. In a short speech, Khrinyio Rhakho appealed to the people to take care of the public property. The report was presented by Pukhoi Rhakho, VDB Secretary followed by words of gratitude by Dusapra Nyekha.
