Kiphire, March 21 (MExN): Two power projects in Kiphire district under the Aspirational District programme was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, T Wati Aier on March 18. Both the projects viz setting up of Electrical Power Sub-Station at CHC Pungro town and electrification at Amikioro Village were funded by NEC. Both the projects were inaugurated in the presence of ADC Pungro, SDO Power Pungro, EAC Pungro, YTC representative, Pungro public Forum, Doctors from CHC Pungro and village council of Amikioro.
A press release issued by Chumbenthung Murry, NCS SDO (C) Kiphire stated that on the occasion, DC informed that a good number of schemes arc being taken up all over the district under the Aspirational District Programme, such as construction of 35 medical and teachers staff quarters, construction of Guest House in Seyochung, completion of GMS at Zhimkiur and GPO Salomi, purchase of medical equipments in District Hospital Kiphire, construction of parking tot in the DHK, sponsoring training of nine nurses at Hyderabad, Electrification at KHAHA village, L+T extension (3x4 wire) at Pungro town, project Ujjwal (installation- of street lights in Kiphire town) etc. Proposal for construction of a Skill Development Centre at Kiphire has also been submitted to Niti Aayog.
Apart from basic infrastructure constructions works going on, there were many components under skill development, Livelihood, seminars on Financial inclusion and DAKSHATA training being undertaken all over the district, he added.
