The Block Management Unit Kohima, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) under Department of Rural Development, has organized a block level programme on ‘Udyamita Pakhwara: Enterprise promotion for Naga women through Bank Financing’ as part of the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Kohima Village Council Hall on July 15.
Sevak Chandra Das, General Manager (Vigilance), Nagaland Rural Bank graced the occasion as the resource person.
He emphasized on credit linkaging for the SHGs or even individual to take up enterprises as source of livelihoods.
He further extended his full support to the SHGs of NSRLM in providing more credit linkage. The programme was chaired by Vitsu Yhome, BPM BMMU Kohima NSRLM.
Celine Thol, BDO- cum- BMM, RD Kohima Block and Rajuselie Lhousa State Program Manager-FI NSRLM, Department of Rural Development also delivered short speech.
Short speech on experience sharing were also given by one SHG member and VLO leader each.
Officials and staff from both SMMU and DMMU also attended the programme.
There was an interaction with the SHG members by the officials on their business plan and credit linkage requirement.
Altogether, 70 participants attended the programme and the interaction session was concluded with the NRB branches in Kohima assuring credit linkages to 16 SHG under Kohima Block NSRLM.
