Phek, October 2 (MExN): Ura Zuveh Foundation celebrated International Day of Older Persons on October 1 at Chesezu village, Phek district under the theme ‘fulfilling the promises of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for older persons: across generation.’ In a press release, Media Secretary, Ura Zuveh Foundation, Vesukho Swuro said that the day was celebrated to recognise the contribution of older persons and to examine issues that affect their life. The occasion has provided an opportunity to acknowledge their contributions, wisdom, dignity and needs of senior citizens and to rededicate efforts to ensure their well being. The programme was chaired by Vesezo Ringa, invocation was done by Advisor, Baptist Church Chesezu Village, Vekronu Shijoh. Further speech were given by Vekho Nyekha and Avizo Nienu.
