W Chingi Phom’s demise mourned

Dimapur, May 14 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in-charge for NPWD(R&B) Y Patton has mourned the demise of Er W Chingi Phom who was the Longleng SDO, PWD (R&B). The officer passed away on May 12.

In his condolence message, Patton described late Chingi as “a sincere and diligent officer whose life was unfortunately cut short during his prime.” Stating that his demise was a great loss for the department and the Nagas as a whole, Patton conveyed condolences on behalf of the department. 

DTF Longleng:  Addressing at the meeting of the Longleng District Task Force, Longleng on May 12, Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairperson of the District Planning Development Board conveyed condolences to Chingi’s bereaved family on behalf of the board. 

In his condolence message, the DC remembered late Chingi as “an exceptional officer and a colleague with a strong character and straight-forward nature.” As a mark of respect, the members of the District Tasks Force on COVID-19 observed a minute of silence in honour of the departed soul.

PGOA: Meanwhile, the Phom Gazetted Officers’ Association (PGOA) stated that late Chingi was an active and senior member of the association who contributed immensely towards the welfare of the association. In his death, the Association has lost one of its best members, a sincere and dedicated officer, it added.

The Association joins the family in this hour of mourning and pray to Almighty God to grant comfort and strength to the bereaved family members as his soul rests in eternal peace, the condolence message read.
