Kohima, February 6 (MExN): The Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) has mourned the demise of its incumbent President Thekrusevi Meru.
“It is a moment of great grief and sorrow for the Western Angami Students' Union as we will be left void of a tall leader who had immensely contributed to the progress of WASU,” the Union stated in a condolence message on Sunday.
Remembering the late Thekrusevi as a down to earth leader whose life was filled with passion, love and sacrifices for his people, the WASU stated that during his brief life, he left behind many fond memories which include his unwavering concern for the students and the youth fraternity.
“At a time when he is still holding the office of WASU as the President, his demise has left the WASU in utter shock and disbelief. However, the contributions which he gave for the region and the people will forever be cherished. As a leader, he was ever determined towards being an honest, dedicated and exemplary leader,” it said while conveying condolences to the family and near and dear ones.
