In line with the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, the Wokha Town Council organised a poster, essay, and poetry competition today for students in classes 9 to 12 under the theme "Being Green is Staying Clean” with an aim to encourage creativity and awareness regarding cleanliness and environmental sustainability among the students. The event was held at the DC Conference Hall Wokha.

Students from eight schools participated that includes Grace School, Perennial School, Government Higher Secondary School, Libemo Memorial School, Santsuo School, Isaiah Ability Higher Secondary School, and Cistus School. This initiative not only encourages students to express their thoughts on environmental issues but also promotes community engagement in the quest for a cleaner and greener Wokha.

Winners of the competition will receive certificates and cash awards during the culmination programme of Swachh Bharat Diwas on October 27, 2024.
