WSBAK offers to sponsor coffins for poor and needy succumbing to COVID-19 at DH, Dmr

Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): The Western Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) today made an offer to the overall in-charge of all COVID-19 related activities in Dimapur to sponsor procurement of coffins for the poor and needy succumbing to COVID-19 at District Hospital (DH), Dimapur. 

“This is part of our social responsibility and as a small way of extending our support and cooperation to Team Dimapur,” the WSBAK stated in a letter to Agriculture Production Commissioner, Y Kikheto Sema, who was recently re-assigned as the overall in-charge of all COVID-19 related activities in the district. 

“Together, we shall win the fight over this pandemic,” added the letter appended by WSBAK’s Executive Secretary Rev Dr Phughoto Sema and President, WSBAK Council, Er Ahoto Zhimo 

Meanwhile, the WSBAK further highlighted that it is also in seize of the situation as the country and the state including civil societies, NGOs and the public alike have been working in close coordination to fight the disease. 

Recognising the gravity of the situation, the WSBAK also managed a quarantine centre for the returnees at Livingstone Foundation International, Dimapur last year, it said. 

It further lauded efficient and effective management of the COVID-19 by the Team Dimapur under Kikheto’s leadership in 2020. 

The State Government has once again assigned you with the task recognising the same, it said, adding that, the WSBAK has “no doubt that any COVID-19 related issues would be proficiently handled under your leadership” once again.
