Kohima, May 16 (MExN): Parliamentary secretary for veterinary & animal husbandry Yitachu Sharu on April 26 last urged the villagers of Yesisotha village under Meluri sub division of Phek district to work hard. The village was formally inaugurated on the day with Yitachu as the chief guest.
Yitachu asserted that the villagers and the Pochury tribe at large should be educationally and economically well equipped to welcome the unprecedented development that is going to take place through the Government of India’s “Look East Policy.” He also urged the villagers to preserve their unique culture and traditional and also have peaceful and cordial relation with the neighbouring villagers.
Er. Levi Rengma, deputy speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly also inaugurated Government Primary School at Yesisotha. Unveiling the monolith stone, Er. Levi urged the student community to acquire quality education and appreciated the developmental activities of the constituency. A host of other dignitaries were also present at the function which also witnessed cultural presentations from Kükhegwo village, Wezihu village, Shatüza and Hutsü village.
