ZCCI affirms to strengthen business community

Zunheboto, February 14 (MExN): The 2nd general session of Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ZCCI) was held at town hall, Zunheboto on February 14. The GBs of all sectors, ZSTH, ZRSU and concerned Sumi citizens attended the programme.


Outgoing President Shikahoto Jakha in his speech said that unity among the businessmen can bring further progress in the society. He said that government jobs are “very hard to find” which leaves business as the only practical hope for all, if performed with sincerity and dedication.


Jakha lauded the ZCCI for contributing towards the society, having mitigated many social problems in the past and the present.


Newly elected President, ZCCI Kikheto Muru said that Zunheboto is the heart of Nagaland and can be a place of tourist interest. He urged every businessman to love the town and be concerned for its progress.


Muru affirmed that ZCCI stands for business community as mediator and will strengthen the business community with a vision to beautify Zunheboto and co-exist in unity.


Deputy Commissioner, Peter Lichamo as the guest speaker said that it is not an easy task to run businesses.


He reminded that everyone wants changes and developments and as such, keeps demanding for it but when development comes, many resort to troubling the process. The DC therefore, urged them to positively contribute towards changes.


He further assured support from the administration if and when problem arises. The programme was chaired by Advocate Y Katovi Awomi, Vice President ZCCI.
