Peren, May 13 (MExN): In wake of COVID-19 outbreak followed by the nationwide lockdown, many students are faced with difficult financial situations related to the payment of school fees, house rents and online education etc.
In this regard, the Zeliangrong Students’ Union, Nagaland has appealed to the house owner to explore the possibility of rent waiver or reduce rent for student tenants. The ZSU (N) also appealed to the private educational institutions to consider reduction or deferment of school fees. “However, the appeal should not be misconstrued as enforcement depends on the person concern,” stated ZSU (N) President, Dithuibo Newmai and General Secretary, Adona Herie in a press release.
The ZSU (N) also appealed to concerned authority to provide regular power supply as the network connectivity mostly depended on them. It also urged the Telecom services to provide proper connectivity in the district in order to keep students updated with their studies and lessons through online.
