Bad sale transaction leaves shopkeeper assaulted

Dimapur, September 26 (MExN):  A member of the India Reserve (Nagaland Police) is said to have assaulted a garment dealer in New Market, Dimapur, the morning of September 26 following a dispute over bought garment. Shopkeepers in the area closed businesses briefly following the reported incident.
Eyewitness accounts said that the shopkeeper, one Fazaluddin, said to be a Bangladeshi national running a garment shop in New Market was assaulted by an unidentified IR soldier over an issue involving what is understood to be a bad transaction. Reports said that the IR “jawan” had bought a pair of Cargo pants (a causal military-style half-pant) from the said Fazaluddin. On the item was said to be a stain which, accounts said, the shopkeeper had assured would go away after a wash.
When the pants were washed but the stains still remained, the IR man, along with a colleague went to the garment shop.  It is understood that the IR man and the shopkeeper exchanged ‘some words’ which eventually left the said Fazaluddin severely assaulted.  A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against the unidentified IR man by the shopkeeper. At the time of filing this report, police sources said that the FIR has been withdrawn after what is understood to be a ‘compromise’ between the two involved.
