Mon, May 12 (MExN): In order to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, DC Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS, on May 10 ordered the sealing of Konyak Baptist Church office building, Mon town for 48 hours.
In another order, to take effective measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the DC Mon on May 11 ordered the sealing of a house in Techahan Ward; Ground Floor, Shantham Ward; a house in Shantham Ward; Wagiem Ward near Old Telecom Office; (Ground Floor), Shamnyu Ward near KSU Office; a house in Chingai Ward.
The houses will remain sealed till further orders, the DC stated.
The order also added that any person violating the containment measures would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and other legal provisions as applicable.
Meanwhile, in view of the detection of COVID-19 positive cases in Mon town, DC Mon on May 11 issued an order requesting all persons who attended Sunday Service and Deacon Board meeting at KBCM on May 2 and 9 to self report to the number: 9862078993.
Further, all have been requested to observe COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at all times and to self isolate at home.
