Chümoukedima, October 31 (MExN): The Gorkha Students' Union Chümoukedima District, which will function under the supervision and guidance of All Nagaland Gorkha Students' Union as a constituent body, was formed on October 30 at Singrijan Village Council Hall Chümoukedima. The Union was formed under the initiative of Chümoukedima Gorkha Union, Singrijan Khopanala Youth Association and Gorkha Youth & Students' Union, Medziphemato empower education and physical activity within the district, informed a press release.
On the occasion, Tezu Pradhan, Head GB, Singrijan & Khopanala Village encouraged the Gorkha community residing within Chümoukedima District to be hard working and responsible for achieving the union’s goal. Similrly, Gopal Lama, President of Chümoukedima Gorkha Union urged the youths to do away with corruption and antisocial activities, while Sambu Biswakarma, president of Medziphema Gorkha Union he congratulated the newly formed Union and encouraged them to work with unity.
According to the release, Jacob Sundas was selected as the new President, Ajay Thapa as General Secretary, Sanjay K Dutraj as Vice President, Puja Neroula as Joint Secretary, Preity Darjee as Treasurer, Manish Giri as Finance Secretary, Enos Rai & Sancho Maya Gurung in Information and Publicity Secretary, Saniya Kunwar & Ajay Sharma in Cultural & Asst. cultural Secretary, Sushma Siva & Hema Kumari in Education & Statistical Secretary, and Loke Limbu & Arjun Limbu in Sports & Asst. Sports Secretary.
