Kohima, March 23 (MExN): In view of the South Asian Cross Country Championship being organized at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima on March 26, DC Kohima Gregory Thejawelie NCS has issued the directives for traffic management within Kohima Municipal area and New Capital Complex for strict adherence of all concerned.
The earmarked route between Indira Gandhi Stadium and KMC Tata parking/Northfield School junction on NH-2 will be totally restricted for vehicular movement from 01:00 pm of March 25. All vehicles/off-road vehicles parked along the aforementioned stretch on NH-2 should be removed by 11:00 am of March 25.
Vehicular movement on the earmarked route is to be diverted from High School junction to High Court Junction via NBCC convention Hall, New Secretariat Complex.
Notification of even number dated 23/09/2021 regarding notification of No-Parking Zone from New NST to Razhü Point, Razhü Point to Northern Gate Local Ground (Khouchiezie) shall continue till further direction. Alternative parking is demarcated at Old MLA Hostel building/ City Centre, (entry from Ao Church, exit from Commissioner's Office) Northern Gate Khouchiezie (Local Ground) (both entry and exit).
No heavy vehicles will be allowed to ply in Kohima Municipal/ New Capital Complex area from 6:00 am onwards on March 26. All loading and unloading within Kohima Municipal/ New Capital Complex should be completed before 6:00 am on March 26.
The DC informed that the directive will be enforced till 6:00 PM of March 26 after which the normal traffic regulation in place shall continue.
