DGC to begin online classes from April 28

Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): In view of the detection of four COVID-19 positive cases from Dimapur Government College (DGC), a meeting was held between the state Minister for Higher Education and Tribal Affairs Temjen Inma Along, the college Principal, Vice Principal and faculty members at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur on April 26.

During the interaction, the Minister was apprised of the events and actions taken following detection cases, a press release from the DGC Publicity & Media Cell stated on Tuesday. The Minister stressed on starting contact tracing and advised both the students and teachers to act responsibly and assured that he would contribute RAT testing kits for the hostellers living in the college-run hostels in the campus to ensure that all the hostellers are COVID-free.

It further informed that the results of the 5 primary contacts are awaited after which the decision on whether to seal the entire college will be taken. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for online classes to begin from April 28, the release stated.
