Dimapur, April 4 (MExN): In the interest of public hygiene and sanitation, the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has scheduled a cleanliness drive at New Market on April 5 (Saturday) from 6:00 am onwards.
In view of this initiative, all shops and business establishments located within New Market shall remain closed until the completion of the drive.
All shop owners, vendors and general public has been requested to cooperate with this initiative to ensure a clean and healthy marketplace. “The drive aims to enhance the sanitation and overall hygiene of the area for the benefit of the citizens of Dimapur,” a DMC order stated.
The DMC has urged all stakeholders to actively participate and extend their support towards this civic responsibility. “Non-compliance may result, in necessary action as per municipal regulations,” the order added.
