Dimapur, February 20 (MExN): The East Dimapur GBs Association has expressed deep anguish over the unwarranted disturbances in the construction of Old Dhansiri Bridge at Purana Bazar, East Dimapur by the “alleged landowners.”
The association stated that it has abruptly disturbed and added setback in the already delayed of completion of the much awaited bridge.
East Dimapur GBs Association, General Secretary, Pitu Mech in a press release stated that the GBs Association visited the site of the construction and took stock of the situation and as a result the work has already resumed.
It stated that “henceforth, whosoever try to obstruct the work progress, the East Dimapur GBs Association shall taken action deemed fit according to the law of the land.” The association will also supervise the work on a daily basis to ensure its completion and to make sure that no individual give trouble, it added.
Meanwhile, the East Dimapur GBs Association has acknowledged the prompt action taken by the Deputy Commissioner Dimapur in the issue. It reiterated that “the East Dimapur GBs Association shall ensure that no individual defy the order of the DC Dimapur and anyone doing so will attract legal recourse or any action deemed fit in the interest of the people of East Dimapur.”
