Kohima Police crack vehicle theft cases

KOHIMA, MAY 14 (MExN): Acting swiftly on complaints of vehicle theft, Kohima Police on May 12 cracked two separate cases, recovering a stolen motorbike and a missing vehicle, and arresting one suspect.

According to a press release from the Kohima Police PRO, a complaint regarding a stolen motorcycle was received at North Police Station on May 12. Based on the complaint, a team led by Dy SP (Probationer) Sara Tokiu initiated prompt investigation and, acting on intelligence inputs, apprehended the accused from the Pherima area. A criminal case has been registered at North Police Station.

On the same day, another complaint was lodged concerning a missing vehicle from Lower Bayavü Colony, Kohima. Following this, the police activated all units and, in a coordinated operation, recovered the vehicle from Razhü Point area.

The PRO commended the swift action, coordination, and teamwork demonstrated by the officers involved in both cases.
