Mon, April 22 (MExN): A combined meeting of the COVID-19 District Task Force, Mon and Mon District Task Force for administration of COVID-19 vaccination was held on April 21 at the Conference Hall of the Office of Deputy Commissioner Mon.
A DIPR report stated that the meeting was chaired by DC Mon, Thavaseelan K. DIO Mon, Shasinle Tep highlighted that altogether 15,207 beneficiaries in Mon have been vaccinated in the first and second phases. She stated that the vaccination for 18 years and above will be targeted to start by May 1. She also urged the board to plan for lesser vaccination sessions with full capacity for maximum utilization and lesser wastage.
With the resurgence of COVID-19 in the State, the meeting deliberated that Police personnel in Mon will have to mandatorily take the vaccine as directed by the Office of DGP Nagaland, and ASHA and Anganwadi workers who are already registered as healthcare workers will be sensitised further to take the vaccine.
