Nagaland CM inaugurates 11th NAP (IR) Bn Hq in Aboi

Mon, April 29 (MExN): The 11th NAP (IR) Battalion Headquarter was inaugurated by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on April 29 in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Y Patton, MLA Eshak, MLA CL John, MLA EE Pangteang and MLA Thongwang .

Addressing the inaugural function as a special guest, the CM thanked the technicians, neighbouring villages, jawans for their sacrifice in bringing this dream to a reality despite all the hardship since laying of the foundation in 2005.

The CM said that 11th NAP (IR) has a good name, not only within the State but also in other States. People have much respect for them, Rio said and encouraged them to take more responsibility and continue to be sincere in their duty and protect the public.

He also requested the DGP and the unit commandant of the 11th NAP (IR) Bn Aboi to plant varieties of trees in and around their camp.

Rio also called upon the public and the neighboring villages to cooperate with the jawans. Understanding and adjustment will bring peace and unity in the society, the CM said.

He urged the public to be more careful as the second wave of COVID-19 is ‘more dangerous’ and appealed the citizens to avail the COVID-19 vaccine. Earlier the CM also unveiled the plaque.

Y Patton Deputy Chief Minister & Home Minister thanked the land owner for donating 326 Ha of land.

T John Longkumer, IPS DGP, Nagaland appealed fro support from neighbouring villages and the public.

Short speeches were also delivered by Howing, KU President, Langmeing Angh and Maopong on behalf of Aboi District demand committee. 

 Welcome address was delivered by Chumdamo Jamio, NPS, DIG (IR) south. Dedicatory prayer for plaque was pronounced by Rendamo, Pastor PBC, 11th NAP (IR) Bn Aboi.
