
Prof Mukhi greets on birth anniversary of Guru Nanak
Kohima, November 18 (MExN): On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, Governor of Assam & Nagaland Prof Jagdish Mukhi has extended greetings to the people of the State. “Let us imbibe the message of oneness of humanity and compassion towards all propagated by Guru Nanak Dev ji, the founder of Sikhism. May we all find inspiration from the significance of his teachings,” he conveyed. He also wished “everybody peace and harmony as we remember and rejoice the beloved Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.”
NCD requests DUCCF and JCC
Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has expressed regret that due to an oversight, office bearers of Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) and Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) was not included in the circular for the November 20 meeting. NCD has therefore, requested the DUCCF and JCC office bearers to attend the meeting scheduled on November 20 at 11:00 am at NCD conference hall, Nyamo Lotha road Dimapur.
Niki-led NSCN (K) terminates two
Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): Niki-led NSCN (K) on Thursday stated that as recommended by the Chairman, Chang Region and in exercise of the power conferred upon this office, Carlus K Zhimomi, Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs, NSCN/GPRN terminates Yankhuba, Razou Peyu and Yanchu, Razou Peyu from active national service for anti social activities. “This order comes into force with immediate effect,” it stated.
NNC and FGN annual meet
Kohima, November 18 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has informed that the annual meet, 2021 of the Naga National Council (NNC) and FGN will be held on November 29 at 10: 00 am at Oking, Nagaland. FGN Secretary Thihü Khamo in a press release has requested all the Central Authorities, Regional Authorities, all concerned Authorities of the Naga Women Federation (NWF), Naga Youth Federation (NYF) and High ranking Naga Army officers of the NNC/FGN to positively attend the Meet.
Excise Dept recovers 210 cases of assorted liquor, arrests 3
Dimapur, November 18 (MExN): Acting on a tip-off, an Excise Mobile Squad duty party recovered 210 cases of assorted liquor from two trucks at the New Field Excise Check-gate on November 16, an official release informed. In connection with the case, 3 persons were also arrested and booked under the relevant sections of the NLTP Act. 1989, added the release from the Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition (MS) Dimapur, K Toshiho Yeptho. The team was led by Asistant. Inspector -I/C Rukhriczetuo comprised of Head Constable Yanrenthun and Constables Zubebi, Kiyeto, Manshen, Lilanthung, Alichem and Hito stationed at the New Field Excise Check-gate, it said. The seized articles were deposited at Excise Malkhana to be destructed as and when deemed fit, it added.
