Lily Hasnu of Darogajan village, Dimapur was declared the overall champion at the Mr & Miss Ultimate Body Building Competition held at Sikkim on November 20. Lily Kasnu, who represented Nagaland, also won the title of Miss Ultimate Fitness Physique 2021. 173 Bn CRPF based at Airfield, Diphupar, Dimapur, Nagaland conducted Civic Action Programme (CAP) at Transit Camp, CRPF Dimapur on November 23. Various sports items were distributed to 21 local youth organizations in and around Dimapur. The Unit launched 30-day training on Light Motor vehicle driving training to unemployed youths. Shyamchand De, DIG (Ops), CRPF, Kohima Range was the chief guest. The unit distributed a total of 21 water storage syntax to needy residents of Kirha and Diphupar villages in a function at the Battalion Headquarter on November 22. A book titled ‘Lotha Women in the 21st Century: Celebrating Progress, Advocating Gender Equality’ was released by Dr Apeni Lotha, Director of Higher Education at Ozone Café, Kohima. It is published by Tribal Development and Cultural Centre and is jointly edited by Dr Eyingbeni Humtsoe-Nienu, Dr Abeni Patton and Mhabeni W. It contains essays by eighteen Lotha scholars from diverse fields. Rev Sankiluma Kikon, Associate Pastor of Kohima Lotha Baptist Church dedicated the book. The book is written in dedication to the honored memory of Emi Shitiri Lotha (1955-1991), the first lady IAS (batch of 1978) from the Lotha tribe. 

CHILDLINE 1098 Mokokchung on account of the week long, Childline se dosti event launched a charity campaign to support children in need. The team reached out to 23 Children with Disabilities (CwD) in the Asetkong range and provided dry rations and clothes.

Nagaland University Students’ Union, Lumami (NUSU-L) held its 23rd fresher day under the theme “Ignite” on November 20 with Peter Lichamo NCS, DC, Zunheboto as the guest speaker and Akumla Imsong, Miss Mokokchung 2019 as guest judge for Mr and Miss Fresher 2021 contest, along with two other judges, Dr Monalisa Tase (Asst. Professor) and Khikeya Semy (Research Scholar). Kuno Resuh, Runner’s up Miss Phek 2018 and Mega Miss Northeast Finalist 2019 was the choreographer for the contestants. Opangtemsu and Longaro W Ezung was crowned Mr and Miss Fresher respectively.

Pranabananda Women’s College, Dimapur observed its 30th annual fresher day on November 20 in the College auditorium. The programme started with lighting of lamp by Swami Chinmayandaji Maharaj and the Governing body members. Imjungwatila Longkumer was adjudged as Miss Fresher followed by Kechangunuo Suokhrie as 1st runners-up and Moala Chang as 2nd runners-up.

As part of the System Voters Education and Electoral Participation campaign, a quiz competition was conducted by District Administration and District Election Office Tuensang at Town Hall, Tuensang on November 23 with ADC & ERO Tuensang, Ajit Kumar Verma as the special guest. Students of Sao Chang Government College, St John Higher Secondary school, GHSS Thangjam, GHSS Tuensang and Loyem Memorial College participated the quiz competition where Sao Chang Government College emerged the winner.
