Random testing detects six COVID-19 cases in Wokha

Wokha, May 12 (MExN): In view of the rise and surge of COVID-19 cases, the District Task Force for COVID-19 Wokha conducted random sample testing at certain strategic points and areas like Taxi counter, daily bazaar and Police Pont area on May 12. 

According to a DIPR report, it was conducted to assess and take steps to stop further community spreading.

Altogether 121 random testing was done in the town areas, where six person were tested positive, all the positive cases were found to be asymptomatic and were instructed them to undergo home quarantine following all the required SOPs. 

The Medical team will give all necessary instruction until the quarantine period is over. The Medical team also informed that contact and primary tracing will be activated by today itself, and requested all citizens to follow the guideline and SOPs given by the Government.

The random testing was conducted in the presence of all the District Task Force members, such kind of testing will also be conducted in the coming days to avoid further spread of the disease.
