‘Strength of Nagaland economy lies in agriculture’

In consistent efforts for economic strength through agricultural activities, Pele Khezhie, a Class I Contractor today involved large numbers of farming community from Viphoma village for paddy transplantation in his agri farm around Dzudza River, Viphoma.

Khezhie, who is president of Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU) maintained that the strength of Nagaland economy lies in agriculture and pledged to take it forward.

Apart from paddy cultivation in his farm, he undertook large scale lychee and lemon cultivation.   He was of the view that the people have to go back to the soil for food security and self-reliant.

Nagaland is blessed with fertile soil and feasible for every agricultural activity, he said adding “We can survive through farming.”

Mentionably, Khezhie had given special attention towards agricultural activities for self-reliant during COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
