Dimapur, April 27 (MExN): The Tenyimi Students’ Union Dimapur (TSUD) has appealed the Dimapur Deputy Commissioner and Dimapur District Task Force to immediately suspend offline classes for the safety of students.
Citing the recent detection of positive cases in schools and colleges, the TSUD made the appeal to the Dimapur DC stating that schools and colleges were now familiar with the online system. It also urged for hostellers to remain in the respective hostel to attend online classes, in order to avoid network issues in remote areas.
As far as possible, university exams may be held online as per schedule, keeping in mind the welfare of the students' future careers, it suggested.
It also urged the DC to ensure SOPs are strictly enforced for inbound travelers with extra caution for railway and flights and to limit the movements in border gates and allow only essential commodities to pass. Further, the union assured to extend its full cooperation to the administration.
