Two women journalists - Atono Tsükrü Kense and T Sarah Naam Konyak- were awarded the Kohima Press Club (KPC) Impact Journalism 2020 on National Press Day at Hotel Japfü in Kohima today.
The programme was organised by the Kohima Press Club under the theme ‘Role of Media during COVID 19 pandemic and its impact on media.’
The duo was awarded for investigative reports during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kense is associated with The Morung Express, while works with English news channel, Northeast Live.
An article and photography competition was also held where Zhovezo Resu from Nagaland Post won the award in the Photography category while Freelance Journalist Vishü Rita Krocha was declared the winner in the Article category.
