
Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): The chairman of the NSCN/GPRN today acknowledged that there is “difficulties from human point of view” concerning the current reconciliation efforts. Nonetheless, these problems must be solved and “in the name of God we will certainly do the best we can,” stated NSCN/GPRN Isak Chishi Swu in a statement today.
Swu appreciated the “positive steps” taken by the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) and the Baptist organization’s resolution on the Naga reconciliation process adopted during the BWA general council in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during July 4-9, 2011. “There are difficulties from human point of view but in the name of God we will certainly do the best we can. It is most essential that the problems must be solved. It is also our sincere believe that reconciliation is the duty of all Christians and most pleasing to God,” Swu said.
The NSCN/GPRN chairman appreciates the ‘positive steps’ taken by the BWA as “far reaching, significant”, and has acknowledged the Baptist organization’s work as a significant contribution to peace and ‘God’s kingdom.’ “Your serious concern for reconciliation inspires us,” the note said. Likewise, Swu appreciated the efforts of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation for its sincere commitment to the reconciliation process which the NSCN leader said was taken ‘at the right time.
“We certainly believe God will help us and the time has come when we must be the master of the situation. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we have the faith and commitment that Nagas will be reconciled,” he added.
