Workshop empowers artisans with marketing, digital and financial literacy skills in Chozuba

Phek, February 17 (MExN): A Marketing & Entrepreneurship Orientation workshop under the PM Vishwakarma was conducted at Vamuzo Memorial Hall, Chozuba under Phek district on February 16. 

The workshop was organised with the objective of creating awareness and strengthening the capacity of artisans and beneficiaries in the areas of entrepreneurship, marketing, digital formalization, and financial literacy, as per the state IPR report.

Altogether, 100 registered participants attended the workshop, along with government officials and resource persons.

Heinamgwangbe Nsarangbe, General Manager, DIC-Chozuba, Phek in his opening remark highlighted the objectives of the PM Vishwakarma scheme and encouraged participants to take full advantage of the training to strengthen their entrepreneurial ventures.

The first session, focusing on schemes under the Ministry of MSME and the State Government, was conducted by Veswovo Phesao, Functional Manager, DIC-Chozuba. He elaborated on various MSME and State Government schemes, including eligibility criteria and benefits available to artisans and entrepreneurs.

The second session on Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), branding, advertising, and packaging was led by Victoria, SLPMU. She stressed on the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills, adopting effective branding strategies, utilizing advertising techniques, and improving packaging to enhance marketability and ensure business sustainability.

The third session was conducted by Avelu, Project Assistant, RAMP, Phek, who highlighted the benefits of PM Vishwakarma under Udyam registration and QR code integration. She emphasized the importance of Udyam registration, digital payments, and business formalization for sustainable growth.

The fourth session on financial literacy and banking matters was delivered by Ronald Lepcha, Branch Manager, SBI, Chozuba. He spoke on basic financial literacy, banking services, credit facilities, and guided beneficiaries on effective financial management while running their businesses.

A feedback session was also conducted, during which feedback forms were distributed and collected from all participants. 

An interactive discussion session allowed beneficiaries to clarify their doubts with the resource persons.
