Tseminyu, October 29 (MExN): A one-day workshop on Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) was held at the conference hall of Rengma Hoho, Tseminyu town on October 28.
It was organized by Sub-District Industries Center, Tseminyu under the Directorate of Industries and Commerce which is state Nodal Agency, stated a DIPR report.
Elia Kesen, Agriculture Officer Tseminyu shared about agricultural food processing and that the two pillars of the country's economy are agriculture and industries. He highlighted the available raw food produced in the Tseminyu District that can be processed. In the second session, a presentation on the guidelines and procedure of PMFME schemes was presented by Benny Khing, Inspector sub-DIC Tseminyu after which Guidelines and Brochures were given out to the participants.
The workshop was attended by food producer organization, self-help groups, cooperatives, and many individuals who were keen to take up food processing enterprises. Welcome and keynote address was delivered by Functional Manager, sub-DIC, Tseminyu, Y Intsangju Sangtam. Mercy Kent, Area Coordinator NSLM, RD Block Chunlikha moderated the programme.
