Kohima, October 14 (MExN): Under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, the Kohima District Administration in collaboration with the District Hub for Empowerment of Women, Kohima is sponsoring 40 students for course in Diploma in Computer Application (DCA). The programme was launched for the first batch on October 13 at the DPDB Hall, DC Office Kohima, stated a DIPR report.
Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Shanavas C (IAS) stressed the significance of the computer course in today's digital world, urging the applicants to focus on learning and not just obtaining a certificate. He encouraged dedication and hard work, with the aim of not only getting a job but becoming employers someday.
Kiviboto Shequi, Managing Director of Pioneer Institute, highlighted the DCA course's importance. He mentioned Pioneer Institute's partnership with NEILIT Kohima and therefore the applicants can opt for additional certificate course offered by NEILIT. He also offered additional 10 students free DCA course under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme as part of Pioneer philanthropic work.
The event began with Moasunep K Jingru, EAC Kohima and Nodal Officer for Mission Shakti, providing an overview of the BBBP scheme and announcing the selection of 32 students for the first batch.
Rhosietho Nguori, ADC Kohima, delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of taking the course seriously and the program's seriousness in skilling the applicants.
