30 recoveries, 1,584 active cases
DIMAPUR, MAY 3 (MExN): 101 cases of COVID-19 were detected in Nagaland today and 6 new deaths due to the virus were reported on May 3. This is out of 438 test results received on the day. The number of deaths due to COVID-19 in Nagaland is now 106, and the number of active cases has risen to 1,584.
The Health Department’s bulletin informed that the new cases include 77 from Dimapur, 11 from Kohima, 4 from Mon, 3 each from Mokokchung and Zunheboto, 2 from Longleng and 1 from Peren. They comprise of 86 traced contacts, 12 returnees/travelers, 2 from the armed forces/security personnel and 1 frontline worker.
Meanwhile 30 patients have recovered from the infection which includes 26 from Dimapur, 3 from Mokokchung and 1 from Kohima.
Of the 1,584 active COVID-19 cases in Nagaland, 1,420 are asymptomatic, 118 have mild symptoms, 20 have moderate symptoms requiring oxygen, and 18 have severe symptoms requiring oxygen. There are 8 patients in ICU, of which 5 are on ventilators.
The total caseload of the State now stands at 14,451 and the number of recoveries so far is 12,325.
