Nagaland: Vaccine priority for certain depts & corps

KOHIMA, MAY 10 (MExN): The Nagaland State Government issued a notice today prioritizing the vaccination of employees in several departments and corporations.

The departments and corporations include banks, Nagaland State Transport (NST), Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), OIL, Food Corporation of India (FCI), Postal Service, Journalists and high risk groups involved in quarantine centers.    

The Health Department wrote to the Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents of all districts to intimate the concerned corporations and departments to submit their staff names with employee certificates by May 12, 2021. It was informed that there would be no site registration. 

The departments and corporations have also been asked to register their employees in the COWIN portal and create CVCs and vaccinate them within May 13 to 15. Beneficiaries above 45 years may be booked under age appropriate category. 

The Health Department meanwhile stated that “no further registration” would be entertained unless decided by the State. In the event of shortage of vaccines, the State may be contacted, it was added.
