Wokha, March 4 (MExN): A poster campaign on the slogan 'plastic-free town’ in the main market areas of Wokha Town was organized by Team Metamorphosis led by its President, M James Tungoe on March 4.

The campaign reiterated the total ban on the use of single-use plastic products as per the Government notification.

The District Administration/ ULBS are authorized to decide and levy penalties against any defaulter. All public institutions, commercial establishments educational offices, hotels, shops, religious institutions,  industrial establishments, banquet halls etc are to strictly comply and any breach shall be liable for penalties, it reminded.

Further, the Team also thanked Mhathung Tsanglao ADC and Administrator Wokha Town Council for the support and effort towards the implementation and success of the mission of a plastic-free town and environment-friendly business ideas.
