Within 6 days of crossing the 22K-mark, the number of COVID-19 cases in Nagaland crossed the 23000 mark on June 8 with the detection of 133 new cases. Earlier, on June 2, the State’s caseload crossed the 22K-mark with 22,072 cases.
The new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday were reported in Dimapur (36), Mokokchung (28), Wokha (27), Kohima (16), Mon (8), Phek (7), Longleng (5) and 3 each in Kiphire and Zunheboto, taking the State’s tally to 23,051.
According to the Department of Health and Family Welfare (DH&FW) update, 153 recoveries were also reported in Dimapur (56), Mokokchung (37), Tuensang (28), Zunheboto (9), 7 each in Kohima and Longleng, Phek (6) and Wokha (3) on June 8, taking the recovery tally to 17,296.
There are 4676 active COVID-19 cases in the State at present with 164 admitted in COVID Hospitals and 3463 under home isolation, as per the Nagaland COVID-19 bulletin issued by the DH&FW.
Meanwhile, 3 more deaths were reported on Tuesday, taking the toll to 418. Under the ‘non-COVID deaths’ category, 14 deaths have been registered till date.
