The Mangmetong community of Kohima under the aegis of Mangmetong Senso Telongjem Kohima (MSTK) today celebrated Moatsü, the premier festival of Ao Nagas in Kohima with much pomp and traditional gaiety.

The grand celebration took place at the official residence of Nagaland’s information & public relations and soil & water conservation advisor Imkong L. Imchen.

Addressing the celebration, Imchen said that Nagas as a tribal society has a lot of rituals and beliefs which in recent times have trickled down to just celebration of  one or two major festivals of each tribe.

He however pointed out that it was important to celebrate and exhibit our cultural traits so as to ensure that our unique culture and traditions are not lost.
